NDA MLAs along with Jitan Ram Manjhi created a ruckus inside the assembly and demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. When the House was adjourned till 2 pm, NDA MLAs also protested outside the assembly. BJP and other NDA MLAs have called Nitish's statement an insult to the Dalit community.
The MLAs of the Mahagathbandhan also raised slogans in the House. The Mahagathbandhan said that our leaders have always respected the Mahadalits, the backward and the poor. The Mahagathbandhan said that Bihar has set an example in the country through the caste census. They also said that they do not like the provision of reservation. They also said that these people are against reservation. We are the people who give reservation.
